Variables
Horned Grebe
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with more than 4%
wetlands and wet shrubland and a relatively dry June precipitation
(hex. max.) of 13-27 mm. In regions with less wetlands and wet
shrubland, it occurred mostly in hexagons with more than 2%
lakes/reservoirs. Among areas with little or no wetlands and wet
shrubland, it occurred mostly in hexagons with April maximum
temperature (hex. min.) of 0-5 C. The logistic regression analysis
showed positive or negative association with lakes/reservoirs, elevation
(hex. avg.), topographic variation, and July precipitation (hex. avg.).
